Report a bug or suggest an idea
Want to report a Biffer bug because data was not detected or a file was not rewritten correctly, or do you have an idea to improve the software? This form is made for that. We read every report and reply if you leave an email address. To help us, tell us the file type, what you expected and what happened. Describe the document, keep it on your computer: a description is enough, and that is the very principle of Biffer.
Your report
Reports and their attachments are stored on our website (hosted by Cloudflare) and kept for two years at most. Your email is used only to reply to you. See our privacy policy.
What helps us most
A precise report is handled within a few hours. Here is what we look at first, and what you can give us while keeping the content of your documents on your own computer.
- The file type and where it came from: a PDF exported from Word, a scanned PDF, an Excel workbook with several sheets, a CSV from business software. How Biffer behaves depends a great deal on how the file was produced.
- The selected profession and, where relevant, the predefined field that did not work: “Toque n° B 123” (a French bar membership number) not detected, “RG 21/01234” detected twice.
- A reconstructed example: if a name is not detected, make up a name of the same shape (“Jean-Pierre de La Fontaine”) rather than quoting the real one. We reproduce the case from that model.
- The version and the system, shown at the bottom left of the Biffer window. The app's “Report a bug or an idea” button fills in these two fields for you.
For any other question (purchase, license, invoice), the contact page gives the right channel. The most common questions are already answered in the FAQ, and the how Biffer works page describes each processing step, which often answers the question before you even need to report it.
